Whispers of the Himalayas : My Kedarnath Yatra .
Namaste everyone !🙏
I am back to share the most divine and unforgettable experience of my life - my journey to Kedarnath.💓As I promised you all , todays blog is dedicated to Kedarnath Dham .
So from the very beginning of the trek, starting at Gaurikund ,every step felt like a prayer. The air itself carried a serenity that touched my heart and I surrendered myself to Himalayas .😇So after offering prayers the feeling was beyond words . Every devotee carried their own faith , their own story and yet one thing was common - the divine and powerful energy flowing in that sacred Dham. One of the most mysterious and miraculous part is the Gaurikund as it holds important spiritual significance , it is believed that Mata Parvati perform intense penance to win Lord Shiva as her husband . 😃 The water if Gaurikund is considered very holy , we all devotees took a holy dip before beginning our journey to Kedarnath as it is essential to purify the body and soul. Interesting part is the warmness of the water remains the same in all the seasons isn't it miracle !
So crossing the initial 10kms, we thought the path was not so difficult . But very soon, we realized our mistake😂 the real climb starts after Rambada , this stretch is not just a climb it was a test of devotion steep, straight and challenging . Every step felt like surrendering our body but we accepted the challenge .😎💙
The altitude made it harder; breathing became heavy and oxygen felt less. Yet the Himalayas giving us strength to climb ahead with chanting HAR HAR MAHADEV echoing in the air , the climb felt less pain and more like a sacred offering 💗🙏. As we climb higher , the road became narrower and steeper, making the journey even more challenging , and yet we were not alone in this path as it was filled with porters, horse and mule all moving alongside the devotees. The sounds of bells, chants and footsteps created an encouraging journey !
Slowing our bodies started showing the strain of the climb. Our voice became heavier, neck stiff, legs swollen. The cold air made every step feel like a test😓and major issue was eating too much food wasnt possible because already the body is so tired that you cant bare any extra weights so instead of solid food we were dependent on lemon water ,Tea , cucumber and water . But despite all the struggles one thought kept echoing in my heart : jab manzil Kedarnath ho toh itna sehna toh banta hai and Baba ke liye kuch bhi 😇😍.
The most interesting part of the trek was to reach the base camp were you can book the tent and rest for a night or day its you call , so for a moment we thought we had finally made it ! but destiny has some other plans too 😂. The Kedarnath Temple was still 1.5kms away from the base camp, imagine ! after climbing for hours your body already gave up but you are dependent on God power and someone say still few kms left ! soo now at this moment I was totally annoyed and angry but still we took a challenge so now we have to do it because no other option left , ok one thing is you cant give up because if you give up still you have to walk for hours to reach the starting point 😂so people thing isey acha chal lo 😂..... ok jokes apart 😅.
By the time we reached the base camp at around 10:30pm , we were completely drained , tiredness had taken over so much that even answering properly felt difficult ! now we were on that stage were hunger no matter anymore 😂because body had given up on the way itself ! and yet my heart says : "bss thoda sa aur distance chalna hai " as usual words will always fall short to describe the scenario , so beautiful , so divine and so foggy to😆 as we were not able to see each other properly . The cold was extreme , but we were happy ... means it was a mix feeling .
The next morning around 4:00AM ,I stepped out of the tent _ and what I saw left me speechless . The entire Dham was glowing in white snow light , the snow covered mountains sparkled under the moonlight, and the silence felt like a hymn ,it was so serene and satisfying , that I never wanted to leave that moment ; my heart whispered:'' kash yeh pal kabhi khatam na ho kash yeh samay ruk jaye ''. So these mountains shine in the night time. ☝😍
As the sun began to rise , we prepared ourselves for the final stretch - just 1.5kms 😅😆more to reach the Temple. The road was comparatively easy but our legs had already turned so heavy that even walking felt like carrying mountains within us😓. Still! there was no choice but to keep going . Step by step slowly like a tortoise we move ahead only for our MAHADEV 💖.
The temperature was moderate under sunshine but the moment you crossed the shady area, the ice winds reminded us of unpredictable beauty of nature and power. everything literally every single thing I am telling to you is raw nothing lie so please trust me ! this journey tested my every single thing my patience my strength my faith everything!
So now we are on the destination ! congratulations to all my listeners !😍
We removed our shoes and stepped into a sacred line for darshan. Time seemed to stand still ,the atmosphere around was filled with positive and vibrational chants of HAR HAR MAHADEV 🙏it wasn't just a queue guys it was a shared journey of souls , carrying their prayers and supporting one another.😀💜According to timing we lined up around 10AM and got the darshan in 5:45 PM yes yes you heard me right ! because we were not the VIP members , those people were getting first chance to meet Mahadev but its ok we were happy .😁ok without further delay let me tell you my feelings💕
The snow covered mountains around the Temple stood tall clouds floated softly and all I could feel was the soft moonlight entering my eyes and heart , for a moment I wasn't myself anymore 💘I was free ,I was infinite.
Looking at Lord Shiva ,I felt as if all my burdens melted away , every pain I carried was disappeared in his presence . I surrendered myself completely without any hesitation without any fear_ just love . He gifted me a new pair of eyes to look at this world differently !
After Darshan my heart just overflowed with love . Seating in the corridor of temple it felt like the heaven came to meet me literally everyone around me was in devotion and guys the last moment came that was the time of evening prayer ( Arti) we all were standing together and singing the Arti and clapping , I think now seriously am emotional because its not just about the blog or sharing the experience ,am sharing my life because I am living that moment again .Guys please visit Kedarnath once in your lifetime , only than you will understand what real peace feels like . You can share your views ,yours points, your experience in the comment box I am eager to listen .😊
