A Gentle Touch On The Shoulder 💗

A gentle touch on the shoulder —it sounds so simple, almost ordinary. But when you truly think about it, this small gesture can hold an entire world of emotions. For me, a hand on the shoulder is not just a physical act but it's an emotional connection, a silent way of saying, ''I am her for you''. 🌼

We need that touch the most when life gets dark and when everything seems to fall apart. We we lose hope, and when we silently wish someone would just understand us. In such moments, this simple touch becomes a divine blessing—a reminder that we are not alone. I will explain it with a story.

There was a girl named Taru, a cute, gentle and dreamy soul. But life wasn't always kind to her. She rarely received love from her father or his relatives. Her Father's family always believed that a boy would have been better than her. The love a Father usually gives his daughter—she never felt it. For her, only Mother was everything , she was her entire world. 🌼

But her father's behavior was harsh, he shouted often , and sometimes insulted her in front of others. For a little girl, those words turned into quiet trauma. Her parents used to argue a lot. Taru never said anything, but inside, she was breaking— confused between love and fear.

When she was in 6th grade one day her Father said,'' We should send her to a boarding school. She will learn discipline there.''

Her mother immediately refused,

No! she's too young. Please don't send her. But Father didn't listen, he said firmly,

It's for her own good, she needs to grow stronger in life.

Taru just seating there silently, listening to everything — unable to speak, unable to cry. That night, she couldn't sleep. She stared at the ceiling and thought .... maybe I am not good enough ..... maybe that's why they want to send me away.''

Maybe childhood isn't meant to last forever.✨

No one could imagine how much space that pain had taken in Taru's heart—how deeply it had shaped her mind and how much of the world's harshness she had already started to understand at such a young age. Other kids of her age played games and laughed freely. But she already begun to learn how to survive quietly.

Day's passed, and one evening her Father wasn't at home . she sat close to her Mother and whispered,

''Mumma, do you love me?''

Her Mother smiled faintly and said,'' Why are you asking that, Taru?''

Taru's eyes welled up as she said softly, ''Because Papa doesn't.

At that moment her Mother placed her hand on her shoulder and said ,

''Listen to me Taru. You are not wrong or undeserving. You have a special light inside you,  something that others fail to see. And one day your Father will realize it, but by then it might be too late.''🏵️

She didn't completely understood those words, but somewhere deep inside, she felt a warmth — a strange comfort she hadn't felt in a long time.

After that day, her behavior started to change . At home, she stopped expecting too much. Her Mother noticed that she didn't talk as much anymore, but  didn't complain either . She had learned to stay quite.

In school too, Taru wasn't like before. She had to endure rude teachers and the harsh environment.

But soon a big change was about to enter in her life.

Her Mother, who had seen everything, realized that she couldn't let her suffer like this any longer.

After years of pain, she made the toughest decision of her life— she decided to separate from Taru's Father.

Maybe that's why people say , a Mothers courage can change destinies.

Than she returned to her own family home— to build a safer and more peaceful life for her daughter. She wanted her  future to be secure, even if it meant breaking apart from her past. There was no other way she could let her suffer for the rest of her life.🌸

From that day onwards, Taru's world began to shift— there were fewer arguments, fewer fears and for the first time little more peace.

One evening she sat beside Taru, placed her hand on her shoulder and said,

''My child, I know you are still too young to understand these things, but one day you will. You must grow stronger, Taru. You need to study, build your life and make your own identity. That's only way you will be truly successful.'' Her Mother's words aren't just advice.''

She listened carefully and said softly,'' But Mumma..... I am scared. What if I can't do it?''

Her Mother smiled through her pain,

''You can Taru. You just have to believe that God is with you. He's always watching, and he will guide you when the time comes.''

That night something changed inside her. She was only a child, somewhere deep within, she felt a spark— a small light of faith. From then on, her Mother started taking her to the temple regularly. They would sit before Lord Krishna's idol, while her Mother prayed, and she watched  quietly.

Her Mother used to tell her, '' Whenever you pray before God, Don't ask for anything. Just thank him for what you already have— and he will give you what you truly deserve.''

Taru didn't fully understand those words, but she began to find peace in the Temple's silence. She started praying too, folding her little hands and whispering to Lord Krishna—asking not for toys or wishes, but for strength.

Days passed, and slowly Taru began to change. Her Mother noticed that she smiled more often, spoke politely and began to focus better in her studies. Though she missed her father at times, she didn't talk about him much. Her Mother had told her,

''Some people come into your lives only to teach us lessons— not to stay forever.''

Still deep down, she carried an attachment— a quite longing. Her favorite part of the day was visiting the Temple. There, she would talk to Lord Krishna in her heart. She called him her best friend.

She shared everything with him — her little secrets , her fears, even her school stories. Every time she prayed, she felt lighter as if he truly listened.

One day, her Father and his family came to visit. Her Mother stayed calm, but Taru's heart started beating fast— the memories with her father flashed before her eyes. They had come to talk and sort out things. But her Mother wasn't ready to return to that pain again.

Watching their arguments that day, her eyes filled with tears. She remembered all those nights she had cried herself to sleep— and for a moment, she wished those memories would just fade away.

She went to the Temple and sat in front of Lord Krishna and started crying silently, and she said softly, ''Krishna, please hold my hand and never leave me.''

As she kept crying, she felt a kind of warmth around her— as if lord Krishna himself was sitting beside her. Just then, a small boy came inside the Temple.

He looked very cute, almost her age. He came and stood behind her, and gently placed his hand on her shoulder. Feeling that soft touch, She  slowly turned around. There stood that little boy— smiling sweetly.

He said in a calm voice,

''Why are you crying?''

Taru wiped her tears and replied softly, ''Because I miss my best friend... my Lord Krishna.''

The boy smiled again and said,

''But I am here now Taru.''

She looked at him in surprise.

''You are just a boy!'' she said. ''How can you be him?''

The boy replied gently,

''I can be human too, Taru. the one you call your best friend.''

Taru smiled softly.

''You are real then aren't you?''

The boy smiled and said,

''Whatever you believe, Taru— That is the truth.''

Just then Mother called  her out from behind, ''Taru come! .''

She looked back and said ,'' I will come again tomorrow, okay?''

The boy smiled and said,'' I will be waiting here when you call me, Taru.''

As she stepped out of the temple she looked back— but the boy was gone.

Still, she could feel that gentle warmth on her shoulder. A peace filled her heart.

When she reached home, her Mother looked at her face and smiled, ''You look so happy Taru.''

She smiled back and said, ''Mumma, I met my best friend — my Krishna. He told me everything will be fine now.''

Her Mother hugged her tightly and said,'' See I told you. God always listens when the heart is pure.''

She nodded and whispered, '' Yes Mumma. Everything will be fine now.''

You see, for every devotee, God always chooses the best ending. The same happened with Taru.

years passed.

She grew up into a graceful young woman— wise, kind and strong. Even though she had once walked through loneliness, her faith in Lord Krishna had never left her side.

Whenever she felt lost or scared, she would sit quietly and remember the Temple, the boy and that worm smile, and the words—'' When you call me with love, I always come.'' Those words always stayed with her forever.

Life started changing beautifully for her. She worked hard, studied well and achieved her dreams. With time she became an independent and successful woman.

People admired her strength. They said, ''Taru, you have become an inspiration for so many.''

She smiled and would often reply softly, it's all because of his grace.''

Even though the world saw her success, inside she still carried a soft corner for her past—a quiet ache that reminded her how far she had come.

Its never easy to grow alone.

Carrying the weight of your own wounds and still moving forward—that's what made her extraordinary.

But still she would feel that same gentle warmth on her shoulder, and then she would smile and whisper,'' You are still with me Krishna.... aren't you?''

Taru never married . Instead she dedicated her life to helping young girls who had gone through the same kind of pain she once faced. She taught them courage, self- worth and faith.

Her purpose in life had become clear—to serve, to heal and to spread light.

And that is what I wanted to tell you through Taru's story— that Lord Krishna never leaves his devotees. Even if we can't see him with our eyes, His divine presence stays with us always.

Whenever you feel alone,

Whenever you feel weak,

Just remember this— The one who sent you on this earth has already made every arrangement for your journey.

You are never truly alone.

He walks beside you—quietly, lovingly,

forever.💓
